Sports Hobby

Some Sims love all things sport. Any kind of physical exercise from skiing and snowboarding to boxing or playing soccer and basketball gets excited. Sims with high fitness skill are going to be more enthusiastic about sports.

Enthusiasm

Once Sims have gained the Sports Hobby, they’ll have a hidden need to perform sporty activities. Since this is similar to Sims 2’s Hobby Enthusiasm, that’s what I’m referring to.
This isn’t visible in the User Interface. However, you’ll receive a notification when your Sim’s hobby enthusiasm is low. Don’t worry; this takes 3 days to drop to this level if your Sim does nothing related to Sports in that time.

Autonomy

Sims with the Sports Hobby Trait will be more likely to do sporty activities autonomously. All of these activities will boost a Sim’s hobby enthusiasm. These activities include, but are not exclusive to:
Boxing
Watching Sports on TV
Playing Basketball (City Living)
Playing Soccer/Football (Discover University)
Ping Pong (Discover University)
Skiing (Snowy Escape)
Sledding (Snowy Escape)
Snowboarding (Snowy Escape)
Archery (Adventure Awaits)

New Interactions
I’ve created a handful of new interactions that are unique to Sims with the Sports Hobby.

Blog About Sports ~ Any Sim can blog about their love for Sports. If you have adeepindigo’s Blogging Hobby mod, then Sims will also gain followers when they post. Additionally, these posts will count towards the total number of blog posts for the aspiration in that mod.
Browse Web About Sports ~ Sims can browse the web for ideas about Sports and will gain a moodlet when they’re done.
Write Sports Article ~ Sims can write an article to submit to a publication about Sports. When they’ve finished writing it, they can submit it and if it’s a good article and gets published, Sims may gain some fame (if Get Famous is installed).
Talk About Sports Hobby ~ Sims who share a hobby with be able to talk about it with each other. This will give a tiny boost to their enthusiasm.

Social Compatibility

With Version 3.3 of the mod, the Sports Hobby is classed under High Energy Sims and will count towards your Sim’s compatibility with them.

Wants

As always with my mods, the Sports hobby has a large list of wants attached to it. Many of these are already in-game but some have been created by me and are either a part of The Custom Wants Mod, or included in The Hobby Mod. Below is a list of the wants you can expect to see during gameplay.
