Paranormal Hobby

From Ghosts and Aliens to Spellcasters and Vampires and everything in-between, some Sims are determined to prove there is paranormal and supernatural activity within our world. Sims with a passion for the Paranormal will thrive when exploring and discovering these creatures.

Enthusiasm

Once Sims have gained the Paranormal Hobby, they’ll have a hidden need to perform occult-related activities. Since this is similar to Sims 2’s Hobby Enthusiasm, that’s what I’m referring to.
This isn’t visible in the User Interface. However, you’ll receive a notification when your Sim’s hobby enthusiasm is low. Don’t worry; this takes 3 days to drop to this level if your Sim does nothing related to Paranormal in that time.

Autonomy

Sims with the Paranormal Hobby Trait will be more likely to do occult-related activities autonomously. All of these activities will boost a Sim’s hobby enthusiasm. These activities include, but are not exclusive to:
Using Voodoo Doll
Interact with Book of Life
Socialise With Ghosts
Be Abducted By Aliens (Get To Work)
Contact Aliens (Get To Work)
Interact With Mermaids (Island Living)
Research Vampires (Vampires)
Study Spells and Potions (Realm of Magic)
Interact With Werewolves (Werewolves)
Studying Werewolf Lore (Werewolves)
Conduct Séances (Paranormal)
Communicate With Specters (Paranormal)

New Interactions
I’ve created a handful of new interactions that are unique to Sims with the Paranormal Hobby.

Blog About Paranormal ~ Any Sim can blog about their love for Paranormal. If you have adeepindigo’s Blogging Hobby mod, then Sims will also gain followers when they post. Additionally, these posts will count towards the total number of blog posts for the aspiration in that mod.
Browse Web About Paranormal ~ Sims can browse the web for ideas about Paranormal and will gain a moodlet when they’re done.
Write Paranormal Article ~ Sims can write an article to submit to a publication about Paranormal. When they’ve finished writing it, they can submit it and if it’s a good article and gets published, Sims may gain some fame (if Get Famous is installed).
Talk About Paranormal Hobby ~ Sims who share a hobby with be able to talk about it with each other. This will give a tiny boost to their enthusiasm.

Social Compatibility

With Version 3.3 of the mod, the Paranormal Hobby is classed under Cerebral Sims and will count towards your Sim’s compatibility with them.

Wants

As always with my mods, the Paranormal hobby has a large list of wants attached to it. Many of these are already in-game but some have been created by me and are either a part of The Custom Wants Mod, or included in The Hobby Mod. Below is a list of the wants you can expect to see during gameplay.
