There are some lovely new interactions in the My Wedding Stories pack but sadly, many of them are lacking reactions. Some have no moodlets, notifications or sentiments attached to them. So I set about trying to change that a bit.
I started off with the Ask For Blessing To Marry interaction. Eventually, I’ll get to do all of them but I’ll release each one at a time and bundle them all together at the end.
This is a small interaction that appears when your Sim has a significant other. Sadly, there’s no real gameplay benefit to the interaction, although I found an icon in the files to indicate a plan to add moodlets.
Anyway, I set about doing it myself. So now there are multiple reactions your Sim can get.
So a quick breakdown of the changes:
✔️Previously, if the family member was in a bad mood, it was the only way for a blessing not to be given. I’ve edited that to allow for low relationship between the asking Sim and the family member of the Sim’s partner to also push a rejection.
✔️A positive moodlet, notification and sentiment if the blessing is accepted.
✔️A special moodlet and notification if either of the Sims have the Proper trait.
✔️Negative moodlets, notifications and sentiments if the blessing is rejected.
The only file overridden is mixer_social_AskForBlessingToMarry and will conflict with any mod that does the same.
Naturally, this mod requires My Wedding Stories.
