Another career conversion today; my Performing Arts career!

You Will Need:

• Scumbumbo’s XML Injector ~ This allows the career to not need its own script file. The XML Injector loads the script for Paid Time Off and for the custom interactions. Don’t worry; the XML Injector doesn’t add anything to your game, it just allows this mod to work as intended.

Technical Details:

The career has 10 levels and no additional branching. There are 7 work from home assignments available should you wish to use them and there are no daily tasks or uniforms. The Performing Arts career doesn’t require any university degree to join, nor does it require any degrees later on.
The career requires Get Famous.

Career Details ~ Levels

➡️Stagehand ~ You’ll need to ensure all the props are in place for each scene change quickly and quietly. It’s vital the audience do not see you. Be sure to show up for all full rehearsals to perfect the art of a quick scenery change. This may seem a lot to ask, but it’s worth it when you watch the finished article.

Objectives: Reach Level 2 Handiness Skill

➡️Props Procurer ~ A new production is being rehearsed at the theatre and the directors are demanding brand new, never-before-seen props and guess who got the job of finding and ordering them? Yes, it’s entirely up to you to find the best props available, haggle prices and deliver them to the theatre in time for the rehearsals. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

➡️Chief Electrician ~ No play would ever grace the stage without the electricians. Well they would, but nobody in the audience would be able to see them. Getting the lights just right for each scene is important, but nothing is more vital than ensuring the spotlights are on the correct actor! This is what you call power!

➡️Sound Technician ~ The directors will not tolerate their leading stars being seen but not heard! So it’s up to you to be absolutely certain the actors can be heard from all the way down in the stalls right up to the circle and gallery. These actors have worked hard to remember their lines, so make sure you work twice as hard to allow the audience to hear them!

➡️Fight Choreographer ~ Unlike those so-called actors to a camera, fights in theatre productions do not have stunt doubles. Instead, they have carefully choreographed fight scenes which take days to design and weeks to rehearse for one perfect scene. Work late, show up early and be sure to get every last step perfected – or it’ll be back to the props for you.

➡️Actor/Actress ~ There’s nothing quite like waiting for the curtain to go up, striding out onto the stage, standing in the spotlight and giving it your heart and soul in front of live cameras and a few thousand audience members. You may never make it to Del Sol Valley and the big screen, but it will hardly matter when you hear the applause during the curtain call.

➡️Acting Assistant Stage Manager ~ While still acting in the plays the theatre is putting on, you’ve been selected to assist the Stage Manager. Listen to the concerns of your fellow actors during rehearsals and you’ll climb that theatrical ladder in no time at all. As long as it’s not in the middle of rehearsals, of course.

As an assistant to the Stage Manager, you’re responsible for a lot of the final preparations the night before the opening night. Stay cool, calm and collected – you can do it!

➡️Director ~ As the newest Director, you’ve got to keep your temper because you’re going to be working long hours to pull this play together. It’s vital you organise plenty of rehearsals and get your actors ready for the big Opening Night. Not only that, but the organisation of the props and scenery is partly your responsibility, so see to it that everything is just so.

➡️Stage Manager ~ So you’re far from your days as a Stagehand, but the seat of power is now truly yours. As Stage Manager, you’re in charge of new productions and appointing directors and assistants. Every catastrophe will be your fault, but every triumph will have your name beside it. Watch those reviews begin to glitter – it’s only the beginning!

 Known Issues 

For reasons known only to Sims 4, in spite of completing all work from home tasks, sometimes the boss is disappointed with the work done. I don’t actually know why this happens but, as you can see with the notifications above, you get the money all the same so it’s not a serious issue. Just the notification is a bit off.
