Games Hobby

Sims love to play, but some like it more than others. Game Sims get lost in card games, board games or digital entertainment alike. Having a high logic makes it easier for them to maintain high enthusiasm for Games.

Enthusiasm

Once Sims have gained the Games Hobby, they’ll have a hidden need to perform gaming activities. Since this is similar to Sims 2’s Hobby Enthusiasm, that’s what I’m referring to.
This isn’t visible in the User Interface. However, you’ll receive a notification when your Sim’s hobby enthusiasm is low. Don’t worry; this takes 3 days to drop to this level if your Sim does nothing related to Games in that time.

Autonomy

Sims with the Games Hobby Trait will be more likely to do gaming activities autonomously. All of these activities will boost a Sim’s hobby enthusiasm. These activities include, but are not exclusive to:

Playing Video Games on Console
Play Chess
Play Foosball (Get Together)
Play Darts (Get Together)
Play Don’t Wake The Llama (Get Together)
Play Arcade Game (Get Together)
Snowball Fight (Seasons)
Water Balloon Fight (Seasons)
Playing Ping Pong (Discover University)
Playing for Esports Team (Discover University)
Playing Horseshoes (Outdoor Retreat)
Play Sabacc (Journey to Batuu)
Bowling (Bowling Night Stuff)
Play Dominoes (Growing Together)

New Interactions
I’ve created a handful of new interactions that are unique to Sims with the Games Hobby.

Blog About Games ~ Any Sim can blog about their love for Games. If you have adeepindigo’s Blogging Hobby mod, then Sims will also gain followers when they post. Additionally, these posts will count towards the total number of blog posts for the aspiration in that mod.
Browse Web About Games ~ Sims can browse the web for ideas about Games and will gain a moodlet when they’re done.
Write Games Article ~ Sims can write an article to submit to a publication about Games. When they’ve finished writing it, they can submit it and if it’s a good article and gets published, Sims may gain some fame (if Get Famous is installed).
Talk About Games Hobby ~ Sims who share a hobby with be able to talk about it with each other. This will give a tiny boost to their enthusiasm.

Social Compatibility

With Version 3.3 of the mod, the Games Hobby is classed under Homebody Sims and will count towards your Sim’s compatibility with them.

Wants

As always with my mods, the Games hobby has a large list of wants attached to it. Many of these are already in-game but some have been created by me and are either a part of The Custom Wants Mod, or included in The Hobby Mod. Below is a list of the wants you can expect to see during gameplay.
