The Fear of Commitment is a custom Fear by me. So far there isn’t a lot to it, owing to it being my first custom fear but more will be coming soon.
Triggers:
So far, this fear has a chance of triggering when a Sim catches their partner cheating. There’s a much higher chance if your Sim already has the Commitment Issues trait and an even higher chance if your Sim has previously had a Fear of Commitment.
Confrontation:
In order to confront this fear, a Sim has two options; they can Express Fear of Commitment to a partner or they can Explain About Cheating Partners. If the interaction succeeds, then the Sim will have conquered that fear.
However, if the interaction fails, then the Sim will not have confronted the fear.
Once the Sim overcomes the Fear, they will be more susceptible to re-gaining the Fear, should they be cheated on again. If the Sim does re-gain the Fear, it will be currently impossible to overcome (more on that in future updates).
