Fashion & Beauty Hobby

Some Sims live for beauty and fashion trends. Whether it’s making themselves over or making over a friend, Sims with passion for looking fashionable will take great delight in shopping for clothes or trying on makeup.

Enthusiasm

Once Sims have gained the Fashion & Beauty Hobby, they’ll have a hidden need to perform activities related to fashion and makeup. Since this is similar to Sims 2’s Hobby Enthusiasm, that’s what I’m referring to.
This isn’t visible in the User Interface. However, you’ll receive a notification when your Sim’s hobby enthusiasm is low. Don’t worry; this takes 3 days to drop to this level if your Sim does nothing related to Fashion & Beauty in that time.

Autonomy

Sims with the Fashion & Beauty Hobby Trait will be more likely to do fashion-related activities autonomously. All of these activities will boost a Sim’s hobby enthusiasm. These activities include, but are not exclusive to:
Trying On Outfits
Making Beauty Videos (Get Famous)
Giving Makeovers (Get Famous)
Receiving Makeovers (Get Famous)
Receiving Manicures & Pedicures (Spa Day)
Applying Makeup (Vintage Glamour)

New Interactions

I’ve created a handful of new interactions that are unique to Sims with the Fashion & Beauty Hobby.

Study Fashion Trends ~ From time to time, Sims can check out the latest fashion trend on the computer to stay in the know.
Blog About Fashion & Beauty ~ Any Sim can blog about their love for Fashion & Beauty. If you have adeepindigo’s Blogging Hobby mod, then Sims will also gain followers when they post. Additionally, these posts will count towards the total number of blog posts for the aspiration in that mod.
Browse Web About Fashion & Beauty ~ Sims can browse the web for ideas about Fashion & Beauty and will gain a moodlet when they’re done.
Write Fashion & Beauty Article ~ Sims can write an article to submit to a publication about Fashion & Beauty. When they’ve finished writing it, they can submit it and if it’s a good article and gets published, Sims may gain some fame (if Get Famous is installed).
Talk About Fashion & Beauty Hobby ~ Sims who share a hobby with be able to talk about it with each other. This will give a tiny boost to their enthusiasm.

Social Compatibility

With Version 3.3 of the mod, the Fashion & Beauty Hobby is classed under Spirited Sims and will count towards your Sim’s compatibility with them.

Wants

As always with my mods, the Fashion & Beauty hobby has a large list of wants attached to it. Many of these are already in-game but some have been created by me and are either a part of The Custom Wants Mod, or included in The Hobby Mod.
