Cuisine Hobby

Cuisine Sims enjoy creating and savoring food, as well as creating and savouring drinks. Being good at cooking, mixology and juice fizzing will help keep their Cuisine enthusiasm high.

Enthusiasm

Once Sims have gained the Cuisine Hobby, they’ll have a hidden need to perform food and drink related activities. Since this is similar to Sims 2’s Hobby Enthusiasm, that’s what I’m referring to.
This isn’t visible in the User Interface. However, you’ll receive a notification when your Sim’s hobby enthusiasm is low. Don’t worry; this takes 3 days to drop to this level if your Sim does nothing related to Cuisine in that time.

Autonomy

Sims with the Cuisine Hobby Trait will be more likely to do food and drink-related activities autonomously. All of these activities will boost a Sim’s hobby enthusiasm. These activities include, but are not exclusive to:
Making Drinks
Cooking Meals
Grilling
Baking (Get To Work)
Juice Fizzing (Eco Lifestyle)
Canning (Cottage Living)
Nectar Making (Horse Ranch)
Mead Brewing (By Pied Piper)
Nectar Making (By icemunmun)
Cooking Play Food (By Pandasama & Ravasheen)

New Interactions

I’ve created a handful of new interactions that are unique to Sims with the Cuisine Hobby. Most of these have been cloned from interaction and abilities that are available to Sims in the Culinary Career.

Watch Cooking Show For Ideas ~ A cloned interaction from the Culinary Career. Sims can get inspired when watching these shows.
Write Cookbook ~ Sims with Level 4 or more in the Cooking skill can write a cookbook. This will become a Cooking skill book when published!
Write Bar Guide ~ Sims with Level 4 or more in the Mixology skill can write a bar guide. This will become a Mixology skill book when published!
Blog About Cuisine ~ Any Sim can blog about their love for Cuisine. If you have adeepindigo’s Blogging Hobby mod, then Sims will also gain followers when they post. Additionally, these posts will count towards the total number of blog posts for the aspiration in that mod.
Browse Web About Cuisine ~ Sims can browse the web for ideas about Cuisine and will gain a moodlet when they’re done.
Write Cuisine Article ~ Sims can write an article to submit to a publication about Cuisine. When they’ve finished writing it, they can submit it and if it’s a good article and gets published, Sims may gain some fame (if Get Famous is installed).
Talk About Cuisine Hobby ~ Sims who share a hobby with be able to talk about it with each other. This will give a tiny boost to their enthusiasm.

Social Compatibility

With Version 3.3 of the mod, the Cuisine Hobby is classed under Idealist Sims and will count towards your Sim’s compatibility with them.

Wants

As always with my mods, the Cuisine hobby has a large list of wants attached to it. Many of these are already in-game but some have been created by me and are either a part of The Custom Wants Mod, or included in The Hobby Mod. Below is a list of the wants you can expect to see during gameplay.
