Painters, photographers, tailors and florists are all bound by their love of art. Creativity is key for Sims to remain enthusiastic about Arts and Crafts.
Enthusiasm
Once Sims have gained the Arts & Crafts Hobby, they’ll have a hidden need to perform artistic activities. Since this is similar to Sims 2’s Hobby Enthusiasm, that’s what I’m referring to.
This isn’t visible in the User Interface. However, you’ll receive a notification when your Sim’s hobby enthusiasm is low. Don’t worry; this takes 3 days to drop to this level if your Sim does nothing related to Arts & Crafts in that time.
Autonomy
Sims with the Arts & Crafts Hobby Trait will be more likely to do artistic activities autonomously. All of these activities will boost a Sim’s hobby enthusiasm. I’ve created a handful of new interactions that are unique to Sims with the Arts & Crafts Hobby.
Doodle In Journal ~ Sims of any age with the Arts & Crafts Hobby can doodle in their journal to help relieve stress.Play Colouring Game ~ Child Sims can play a colouring game on the computer to boost their enthusiasm.Blog About Arts & Crafts ~ Any Sim can blog about their love for Arts and Crafts. If you have adeepindigo’s Blogging Hobby mod, then Sims will also gain followers when they post. Additionally, these posts will count towards the total number of blog posts for the aspiration in that mod.Browse Web About Arts & Crafts ~ Sims can browse the web for ideas about Arts & Crafts and will gain a moodlet when they’re done.Write Arts & Crafts Article ~ Sims can write an article to submit to a publication about Arts & Crafts. When they’ve finished writing it, they can submit it and if it’s a good article and gets published, Sims may gain some fame (if Get Famous is installed).
Talk About Arts & Crafts Hobby ~ Sims who share a hobby with be able to talk about it with each other. This will give a tiny boost to their enthusiasm.
Social Compatibility
With Version 3.3 of the mod, the Arts & Crafts Hobby is classed under Idealist Sims and will count towards your Sim’s compatibility with them.
Wants
As always with my mods, the Arts & Crafts hobby has a large list of wants attached to it. Many of these are already in-game but some have been created by me and are either a part of The Custom Wants Mod, or included in The Hobby Mod.
